The Manifesta 11 Education Coordinator
Deadline: Monday 20 April 2015, 12pm (CET).
Main tasks The Manifesta 11 Education Coordinator will work in close collaboration with the Head of Education and the Audience Development Coordinator in the management, planning, development, implementation and delivery of the Manifesta 11 Education projects.
- In collaboration with the Head of Education, develop the education concepts for Manifesta 11.
- Assist the Head of Education in the successful delivery of education projects for Manifesta 11.
- Contribute towards the research, to identify, build up, manage and maintain relationships with a wide range of education partners, including youth & community centers, local schools and universities.
- Assist the Head of Education in setting up of local partnerships with organisations in Zurich to reach a local audience.
- Assist in establishing a Zurich-based think tank and education network for Manifesta 11.
- Identify key outreach opportunities for M11 artists to engage with community groups, schools and universities.
- Contribute towards the development of education resources and tools specifically for group visits to Manifesta 11.
- Assist in the contracting of freelancers and mediators to deliver education program strands and projects. • Assist in the management of mediators to develop education projects and coordinate their working schedule.
- Assist with the liaison with the communications department to develop interactive spaces for the public to engage with Manifesta 11.
- Build relationships with, local community organisations, maintaining CRM system of up to date education contacts.
- Act as the main point of contact between Manifesta 11 education department, the main venues of Manifesta 11 and our education partners.
- Develop with the Head of Education and the Audience Development Coordinator the communication materials of the educational programmes.
- Organise the documentation and evaluation of the education programme of Manifesta 11.
- Gather evaluation and report on the education activity for Manifesta 11.
Additional responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate the translation of the education materials and events into German.
- Supply general education information for the communications department.
Required skills and experience:
- Extensive knowledge of gallery education/mediation/public programming of contemporary art in Zurich.
- Experienced team manager.
- Excellent written and spoken English and German.
- Good managerial qualities.
- A good knowledge and understanding of the Swiss education system.
- A good working knowledge of contemporary visual art.
- A good working knowledge on the main concepts of gallery education/mediation.
- Experienced in organising education programmes for exhibitions.
- Flexible time schedule and able to commit for 18 months to Manifesta 11.
- A strong command of written and spoken English and German (other language skills in French and Italian highly appreciated).
- Teacher/didactical training and/or experience.
- Humour and strong communicational skills.
Conditions
- Full time starting from May 2015 until November 2016.
- Working location: Manifesta 11 Zurich Office

Manifesta 11 Bookkeeper
Deadline: Thursday 9 April 2015, 5:00pm (CET).
The Bookkeeper will support the Business Manager and General Coordinator and has the following tasks and responsibilities:
Daily
- Collect financial documents and contracts
- Review financial documents and contracts
- Stamp documents with date, number and or frame
- Allocate invoices to bookkeeping system
- Process invoices into bookkeeping system
- Process bank statements into bookkeeping
- Process Credit Card overviews into bookkeeping
- Process salary overviews into bookkeeping
- File financial documents into archive
- Management of cash box
Periodic
- Produce balance sheet and statement of income and expenses
- Produce budget monitor together with controller
- Produce cash flow forecast together with controller
- Produce list of accounts payable
- Process authorized payments into bank system
- Produce list with processed bank entries
- Process salary data from external salary administrator
- File Swiss salary taxes and VAT
- The Bookkeeper has knowledge of and experience with:
- on-line bookkeeping systems (Exact)
- spreadsheet programs (Excel)
- on-line banking systems (Migros Bank)
- Swiss employment laws and regulations
- Swiss income and VAT tax regulations
The Bookkeeper is bilingual – German and English essential. Other languages highly desirable.
Conditions
Part time from 1 July 2015 – 31 January 2017. From April – July 2015 will work one day per week. • Working location: Manifesta 11 Zurich Office • Salary to be negotiated after first interview. Interviews will take place 13 – 14 April 2015.
