Liverpool Biennial is looking to appoint a number of charity Trustees

Liverpool Biennial is looking to appoint a number of charity Trustees with a wide range of skills and experience, who will support the Chair and Director in preparation for Liverpool Biennial 2020.

As well as producing one of the world’s largest contemporary art events, Liverpool Biennial commissions extraordinary public artworks such as Another Place by Antony Gormley and Everybody Razzle Dazzle by Sir Peter Blake – the ‘Dazzle Ferry’ on the River Mersey. Founded in 1998, the Biennial has commissioned 335 new artworks and has presented work by 500 international artists from more than 70 countries.

We are keen to broaden the experience and expertise represented on our Board and are looking for passionate individuals who have the skills and interests to help raise the profile of the Biennial, both nationally and internationally. On this occasion, we are particularly interested in candidates who have experience of working in the creative or digital spheres, in public relations and communications, or with a background in fundraising and/or income generation.

Board Members should have an established interest in art, and experience at a senior level within the public and/or private sectors. You will have a well-established diverse professional network, with effective advocacy and communication skills.

If you would like to be a Trustee, please download the full role description and instructions on how to apply from here. The deadline for applications is Friday 6 September 2019.

We actively work to diversify our Board membership to include individuals from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Board membership is voluntary, although reasonable travel and other expenses will be reimbursed.
