Manifesta, the European Nomadic Biennial changes location every two years. Each edition of Manifesta reflects on developments in contemporary art and culture within the specific context of the host city. The 14th edition of Manifesta will take place in Prishtina in the summer of 2022.

Manifesta originated in the early 1990s in response to the political, economic and social change following the end of the Cold War and the subsequent steps towards European integration. Since then, Manifesta has developed into a platform for dialogue between art and society by inviting the cultural and artistic community to produce new creative experiences with and for the context in which it takes place. Manifesta rethinks the relations between culture and society investigating and catalysing positive social change in Europe through contemporary culture in a continuous dialogue with the social sphere of a specific place.

The General Coordinator is responsible for the management and organisation of the Foundation Manifesta 14 Prishtina, working as a member of the Management team with the Heads of department and reporting to the Director of Manifesta, Hedwig Fijen. S/he administers the organisation, monitors the public tendering procedures and ensures compliance with labour regulations, as well as all legal and fiscal requirements. S/he links the Management team to the City of Prishtina, and local and international stakeholders.

We are looking for a flexible personality with strong organizational background in an international cultural environment with distinguished skills in project management and administration. S/he has an established professional network and is able to work with local and remote teams. S/he is able to work effectively in a dynamic environment to diverse requirements.

Full time October 2020 – April 2023

Salary commensurate with experience.
