According to the report by Arab News, the Saudi and British ministers for culture signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance cultural cooperation between the two countries in various cultural fields.
The signing of a memorandum of understanding took place at the newly established Diriyah Biennale in Riyadh at which runs until March 11.
Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Farhan Al-Saud, the Minister of Culture and Governor of the Royal Commission for AlUla, and UK Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries, signed the memorandum against the backdrop of the installation Birth of a Place (2021) by the Saudi artist Zahrah Al Ghamdi.
According to the statement from the UK Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport: “The secretary will be in the region to strengthen ties in sports, tourism and the arts and is expected to sign memoranda of understanding to increase cooperation with her Saudi Arabian counterparts across sport and culture.”
