The Bergen City Council in Norway has laid the foundation for the establishment of a Triennial in Bergen. Biennial Foundation has been asked to play an advisory role in the development and formulation of the model and identity for this new Scandinavian triennial. The triennial event (The Bergen Assembly) will be responsive to the outcomes and results of the debates of the Bergen Biennial Conference – subtitled: To Biennial or Not to Biennial – one of the largest conventions on biennials to date, which took place in September 2009.
