Deborah Cullen
holds a PhD in Modern and Contemporary Art, Film Studies Certificate, from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. She is currently Director of Curatorial Programs at El Museo del Barrio, New York. She joined the museum in 1997, and has oversight of all temporary and traveling exhibitions, the museum’s Permanent Collection of more than 6,500 works, and all corollary scholarly publications. Exhibitions curated for El Museo include Nexus New York: Latin/American Artists in the Modern Metropolis (2009) and the internationally traveling project, Arte ?Vida: Actions by Artists of the Americas, 1960-2000 (2008-2011) for which she received an Emily Hall Tremaine Exhibition Award. She also recently curated Retro/Active: The Work of Rafael Ferrer (2010) a career retrospective, and has authored a monograph on Ferrer for the A Ver: Revisioning Art History publication series of the Chicano Studies Research Center, University of California, Los Angeles.

Antonio Sergio Bessa
holds a PhD from the Steinhardt School of Education, of New York University. He is currently the Director of Programs at The Bronx Museum of the Arts, and teaches museum education at Columbia University’s Teachers College. Since his appointment in 2003, Mr. Bessa has implemented an array of new initiatives with the goal of restructuring the Bronx Museum’s education and curatorial departments. In that endeavor, he initiated an archives program that will soon be open to the community; and entirely reorganized the museum’s Artist in the Marketplace (AIM) program by adding an international residency component and making it into a biennial exhibition. In 2010 he curated Intersections—The Grand Concourse at 100, a project centered on Bronx’s main avenue. A scholar of concrete poetry Bessa is the author of Öyvind Fahlström—The Art of Writing and co-editor of Novas—Selected Writings of Haroldo de Campos, both through Northwestern University Press. He has recently released Mary Ellen Solt—Towards a Theory of Concrete Poetry, a special issue of the Swedish journal OEI.

Ursula Davila-Villa (Curater Ad Honorem)
holds an MA in Museum Studies from New York University. She joined The Blanton Museum of Art at The University of Texas at Austin in 2005 and currently serves as associate curator of Latin American art. Previously, she worked as project and archival researcher for artist Cai Guo-Qiang at Cai Studio in New York, and as public programs assistant at the Guggenheim Museum. Her recent projects at the Blanton include Recovering Beauty: The 1990s in Buenos Aires (2011), Eclipses for Austin (2009-2010) a project by Pablo Vargas Lugo, and The New York Graphic Workshop: Luis Camnitzer, Liliana Porter y José Guillermo Castillo (2008-2009).<br /><br />

Rebeca Noriega Costas
is an Independent Curator based in San Juan. She holds an M.A. degree in Curatorial Studies and Contemporary Culture from the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College (New York), and an M.A. degree in History and Theory of Art from the University of Essex (United Kingdom). Ms. Noriega-Costas is a professor at both the Escuela de Artes Plásticas de San Juan and the Universidad de Puerto Rico where she was invited to develop and teach the first graduate level course in Curatorial Studies at the MA program in Cultural Administration. She worked at El Museo del Barrio, New York (2007-2009), and has curated and co-curated various exhibitions. Among them, the comprehensive painting group show, En sus marcas (2008), programed by the Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña and shown at Universidad del Sagrado Corazón, In Someone Else?s Skin (2007) for the CCS Hessel Museum, and ReShuffle: Notions of an Itinerant Museum (2006) for Art in General, New York.
