Tous Ensemble is an exhibition by the ArtAids Foundation for Dak’Art Off, part of the Dak’Art Biennial in Senegal. African and European artists work together inspired by the subject of AIDS. Tous Ensemble is curated by Stef Van Belliingen and will be held on the volcanic Island of Gorée. Participants are: WARU Studio, De Ondermening Collective, Lionel Mwe di Malila, and Koen Vanmechelen.
ArtAids employs art in the fight against Aids by inviting leading artists to produce work dealing with Aids and related issues. The works of art are used to raise public consciousness and to encourage involvement. Senegal has a very low rate of HIV infection, thanks to its awareness raising campaigns and practical resources. The ArtAids Foundation is an initiative by the Dutch art collector Han Nefkens, owner of the H+F Collection.

The 9th Dak’Art Biennial will take place from May 7 to June 7, 2010 and is curated by: Kunle Filani, Marylin Martin, Marème Malong Samb, Sylvain Sankale, and Rachida Triki.
